This turnkey project involved the repair and re-engineering of a 25-year old gantry crane, the manufacturer of which was no longer in business. The unit was removed from the rig in a shipyard in Mississippi, refurbished and re-installed. Upgrades included the design and supply of new hoist winches with integrated emergency disc brakes. Hampco's scope included the work and technicians onsite, DNV approvals and all project management.
